Chai Milk Stout Candy Cane Brownies

Looking for the perfect recipe to bring to your holiday party? Our Chai Milk Stout infused candy cane brownies are sure to be a hit! Rich and dark chocolate forward brownies topped with crunchy peppermint candy canes tie into the bright mint like flavor from our Chai spice blend. Cheers!

Ingredients

  • 12oz Can – Spice Trade Chai Milk Stout Beer
  • 8oz (1 stick) – Butter
  • 0.25 Cup – Cocoa Powder
  • 3.5oz – Ghirardelli Twilight Delight Chocolate (1 bar)
  • 0.75C – Brown Sugar
  • 0.75C – White Sugar
  • 1tsp – Vanilla Extract
  • 2 – Eggs
  • 1.25C – Flour
  • 0.25tsp – Baking Powder
  • 0.5tsp – Sea Salt
  • 6oz – Ghirardelli Bittersweet 60% Cacao Chocolate Chips
  • 3 – Candy Canes (Crushed)

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350F. Line 8’’ square baking sheet with parchment paper. Grease with melted butter and dust with cocoa powder
  2. Pour Chai Milk Stout into medium saucepan, stir and cook on medium heat until reduced by half. Remove from heat, pour into a mixing bowl
  3. Cut butter into small chunks. Add butter and cocoa powder into beer concentrate. Place bowl in a pan of boiling water to hear. Mix until combined
  4. Break chocolate bars into small chunks and mix into warm mixture until melted. Remove from water pan
  5. Whisk in sugar, vanilla, and eggs until combined
  6. Mix in flour, baking powder and salt
  7. Add chocolate chips and stir
  8. Pour brownie mix into baking sheet, tap on counter top to remove air bubbles
  9. Bake at 350 for about 40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center of brownies comes out clean.
  10. Sprinkle with crushed candy canes right when brownies come out of the oven, allow to cool before enjoying!
